Golf had been a fun so far, except to start with I had to be pushed a lot (Lazy ass!!) to get interest into it. Nothing in life has come out of the box for me (well one hell of a configuration I am ... have to set up everything into myself :( ), Golf was difficult to get too.
What I understood about the gaming culture, In every ball game .. well I mean every game where ball's are involved .. ok! ok! strike those statement's out, "one has to have eye's on the ball always" ...
(mmm .. ouch!! .. damm these ball's everything always can be interpreted in wrong way ... ) well at least last one is better ... or rather say ... concentrate on what you are going to hit else you are going to miss it (ah! better) ... smaller the ball .... harder one needs to concentrate ... I am sure most of you have seen "Forest Gump" the basic rule Tom hank's is taught never take your eye out of the ball. Same holds good for Golf. If u are not looking at the round thing ... u are bound to do an empty swing.
Now Swinging not a big deal until your concepts are clear ... remember Einstein's theory of relativity ... "You move the scale then everything has changed including the length of the scale so what ever you measure is relative to the scale and the position the scale is in." well now that I gave u some gyan ... forget all what I said ... what I am trying to say is something similar .. move your hands and your body should move along ... most important thing one should remember swinging the club's / wood's / drivers ... is move your body along with your hand's ..... it should be your torso and shoulders only .. leg's should be still ... and so is the head ....
I am still learning the game I shd not be making fun of others .. but then there was this Irani guy in training along with me he was literally dancing and trying to hit the ball .. he did manage to hit the ball .. but then never knew how he connected ....... I felt he was doing more of salsa .. than golf .. :D ... probably he took a salsa training before he joined into golf ... there is actually a Salsa training center ... on the way to Golf Range ... Guess I shd go there next .. hope ... by then I stop concentraging on round things and work on moving my limbs :D
Coming bacl to Golf - One shd bend over the ball .. well dun fall on it .. just bend a lil ... which means your forehead should be in line with your hand's ... bend your leg's so much that you are comfortable reaching the ball with ur club ..
How far do you stand from the ball? ... there are lot of theoretical distances .. but primarily what I have felt is one should be @ a comfortable distance ... not too far .. not too near ... one wud learn it slowly ...
There is a way to grip the club too ... I mean its the most important thing to learn ... but then probably already I made good deal of mess with ball's ... not sure how I can explain the grip on the club's so will look up of someone already had documented this ... :D
I have seen ppl calling club's with various names ... I use to call them rod's .... some still call them bat's ... some call them stick's (now you know why I did not talk about the grip ... dun want you guys to get weird idea's ).... so first thing one needs to know is to what we call them ...
Club's range from 3 iron to 9 iron and have a pitch wedge and sand wedge
Wood's 7 to 10
Driver's are i guess 1 and then some alpha numeric values ..
(dun Quote me on number range for these .. this is what I know too .. may be some one can help me out on listing these ..)
Round white things are called ball's ...
Now that I have done enough of kachra of the game ... while playing I let God deal with it ... :D
